It’s a new school year, so that means it’s time for a new math team season! The coaches all met yesterday, and I’m very excited about this year.
Here is our schedule for the first few weeks as we establish this year’s team and get organized.
Wednesday, August 19, Lunch, Orchestra room
– This is an optional prep practice. (Technically, all practices are optional.) We will mark the floors to make the room quicker and easier to set up, figure out how we want to arrange the room this year, and generally get excited about the year. Coach Rob will bring pizza.
Wednesday, August 26, Lunch, Orchestra room
– This is our first official practice. We will give out prizes for anyone who did the summer bonus learning. We will talk about how math team will work this year and do some math.
Friday, August 28, Lunch, Front Lawn
– We will be recruiting new students and handing out candy and snacks. If you have a math team shirt, please wear it.
Wednesday, September 2, Lunch, Orchestra Room
– Second official practice. Hopefully, we will have some additional members from the activity fair.
New members are welcome to join the math team anytime. Bring your friends!
