This week we are going to do an individual MathCounts Sprint Round practice competition. This will give you an opportunity to experience what the competitions are like and practice staying focused. I’ll use the aggregated results to help decide which topics we will work on in future meetings.

The bonus work this week is Workout 2. The Workout 2 problems and solutions are available at ojhmathteam.org.
To get credit for bonus work you need to attempt all the problems and show your work. Your name must be on the paper. You can work together on the bonus work, but each person must show their own work on their own paper. As a reminder, in addition to candy, the bonus work counts towards who gets to attend MathCounts at Wright State.

Each time you move up a level (including level 1), you’ll get an award you can put on a keychain and hang on your backpack (or any other place). Show me a screenshot or print out of the MathCounts trainer that includes your username and level to receive your prize.
